Rent: $800/mo. Utilities: $60/person (avg. if split by 3 tenants)
No additional animals, please (we have 1 cat), no smoking inside, 6-mo. min. lease, must have proof of a stable income.
THE ROOM FOR RENT:
1st floor private bedroom, bathroom, storage area, and shared garage.
Private entrance through garage on side of house.
Room is not furnished, but the rest of the house is.

2nd floor furnished living room, gas fireplace, half-bathroom, hardwood floors, balcony access. Energy-efficient, lots of natural light.

LOCATION:
Safe, quiet, residential neighborhood.
Close to several parks, various international markets, Portland Mercado, and Foster/Powell happenings.
Great for biking?just a 10 min bike ride to Mt. Tabor!
THE LOVELY ROOMMATES:
We bike, hike, cook, bake, and laugh often. We keep a warm and tidy home and have an occasional dinner party. We don't have a TV, but don't mind the occasional music or movie playing on a computer brought into the living room.
Roommate 1: works a full-time position at New Seasons Market; originally from Florida; has lived in Portland for 6yrs. She selected Portland primarily for its transit-oriented nature, settling in SE where she loves the elbow room, diversity, and parks. She's a regular bike commuter, and is studying for future work in nutrition, so she does a lot of cooking...and eating. She's happy to share the very large kitchen, and my meals!
Roommate 2: works at an organic produce distributor; originally from Florida, has made a home in New Mexico, Texas, and Portland twice; can talk your ear off about sustainable agriculture and gluten-free vegan baking. She'll need the kitchen most nights for homemade meals and baking marathons, but is happy to share the space.
Roommate 3 (our cat): professional snuggler, likes longs walks around the house and even longer naps in any lap he can find; will talk your ear off about existentialist literature or Battlestar Galactica.
WHO WE'RE LOOKIN' FOR:
Must be clean and conscientious. We hope to match ourselves with someone like-minded, sociable but understanding of solitude, up for fun but not a party animal.
Must understand the value of open communication, understanding, and self-awareness.
Preferably coming in without many furnishings as we have a furnished living space (the room for rent is unfurnished, however).
