Solar is an amazing and loving smaller german shepherd that would be perfect for a family. Solar Kolela is a fantastic sable female german shepherd. She loves everyone but is a great watch dog as well. Our goal when we bought her was to breed for sable shepherds with our male dog.
Solar needs a new home, not because there is anything wrong with her, we are just not the right family. She needs her own.
She will need a fenced yard, but it doesn't need to be huge, just some space
She will need to either be spayed or not kept with other females. When she came of age, she became aggressive toward our primary female and so they have to be kept separated
She has great herding instinct, and she will chase livestock. This is one big reason she doesn't fit at our house, we have horse and she chases them in the pasture. She is not allowed the freedom to run around; I worry she will either cause the horses to run and get hurt or get kicked herself.
She does bark
She needs and deserves her own family.
I thought Christmas was a great time for her to make a change, when she can become "primary" in your families lives.
I am more concerned that Solar get a loving home than I am about price; she is worth 3X the asking price; if she finds a new home for Christmas, then I will also have some funds to get a few gifts for our family as well. Everyone wins, especially Solar.
If you are interested in a breeding pair, we also have a non-related black and tan male that is in the same situation. He is a bit more aggressive with strangers and may take a bit of time to make you his "primary" but the two are best friends and have been together since puppies. He is from our breeding program, he was the last puppy from a litter and I was just tired if dealing with the calls, so he has been with us for way too long and also needs a home.
Both Jake and Solar are qualified for AKC and UKC registration. We have all the paperwork, we just never sent it in.
