Have you noticed how often you wish you could say what you are dying to say or how common it is to not be able to finish a sentence without being interrupted? Tired of it yet? Are you frustrated with having so few truly connecting conversations? It's alienating, isn't it?
I have found that people feel quite comfortable around me over the last thirty years and that they find great satisfaction in just talking about whatever is on their mind, without feeling that the conversation is about to be interrupted by a text or a ringtone. I've been sitting down with people from teens to seniors for all those years and am hoping that the conversation we'll have will break through a lot of the alienation that people seem to feel in this electronic age.
So my idea is this: call me and set up an appointment (I'm the last one that doesn't text!). We will meet at any coffeehouse of your choosing or any other public place where you feel comfortable and we'll talk about anything that you feel comfortable discussing for about an hour. You're welcome to ask me any questions about myself that you like that will create more of a comfort level. We can then talk about anything, whether it be light or deep, general or specific - it doesn't matter - as long as it is a valuable subject for you on which to engage.
And here's the best part! You are the sole judge of what that hour is worth to you. You decide what you want to pay. You are under no obligation to compensate me at all if you don't find value in that hour. But I wouldn't put myself in this place if I wasn't sure you will be feeling lighter and more connected with what's important to you after we meet.
