* This type of jar uses a rubber seal / gasket / ring which goes around a lip at the top of the jar to form a seal when
* the glass dome lid is clamped down with a wire "bale" / fastener. New rubber seals are available in both sizes.
* The glass parts are in very good condition and the wire bales/clamps are useable and in good to excellent condition.
* These are very "cool" looking jars - good for food storage and can still be used for canning.
