Violin lessons with enthusiastic teacher: Classical and fiddle styles! in Portland, Oregon For Sale

I love playing and teaching the violin! I have been a musician for 29 years, starting with singing and piano. I started playing violin 11 years ago (at age 22), and have been teaching it for 9 years, (being advised to do so by my wonderful teacher, an accomplished and experienced violinist.) I work with ages 6 to adult. My students learn to read music, count, play in tune, and play with expression and heart. Oh, yes, and we also have a lot of FUN!!! I have over 50 private music students, (piano, violin, guitar, voice), so space is limited. But, please call if you really want to play violin, and I will work hard to find a spot for you as soon as I can! I do recommend that students practice at least 3 days per week, besides the lesson day. One must be patient to learn the violin, but the years of dedication really will pay off!! (I had to work at playing myself, especially the bowing, so you won't find a more understanding teacher.)
I charge $18 per 1/2-hour lesson, plus the (minimal) cost of books. Weekly or bi-weekly lessons are available, and you can pay as you go, even for one lesson at a time! (You can also pay for 2, 3, or a whole month of lessons at a time.) I don't charge for missed lessons, as long as I'm notified prior to the lesson time.
