BUSINESS CONTRIBUTION: A District Sales Manager develops and maintains relationships with dealers/customers to maximize sales revenue and profit on behalf of the Ag & Turf business in an assigned territory. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement a territory sales plan to achieve company revenue and profit objectives. Effectively and efficiently promote the company’s products, programs and specials to dealers. Be accountable for recognizing market potential, identifying potential needs of dealers, and following through with both to a successful conclusion. Recruit new dealers/customers and improve and strengthen relationships and volume with current dealers/customers. Develop and maintain a structured plan for scheduling visits to dealers. Maintain contact with the Regional Sales Manager and keep the RSM aware of plans/successes/concerns. Maintain CRM with accurate up-to-date dealer information such as appointments, contact information, call reports, and any other necessary information. Maintain accountability for keeping current with product knowledge and, if necessary, actively seek advice from the RSM or other team members to keep updated on products, programs, and policies Provide a willingness to participate in farm shows and other events to support, promote, and represent the AG & Turf business. Provide a willingness to work closely with Ag & Turf Credit Department to manage/support payment from dealers when necessary. Record and submit qualifying travel expenses within the company policy as outlined in the current copy of the “Expense Report Procedures” and maintain the company vehicle reimbursement program as outlined by the company. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS/BA in Business, Agriculture, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent work related experience. 3-5 years successful proven sales track record. Workable knowledge of the farming industry & farm equipment. Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of motivation. Ability to interact with dealers and internal personnel in a manner demonstrating a high level of professionalism, integrity, tact, courtesy, and cooperation. Ability to work independently. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Ability to learn and maintain customer information in a CRM system. Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver's License with proof of auto insurance coverage. Ability to travel - of the time.
