Job Description:  Maintenance Manager Responsibilities: Responsible for Leading, managing, and directing all maintenance department responsive, preventive and predictive activities to ensure safe practices, environmental compliance, and efficient maintenance technical support to ensure the sites Nitrogen and Phosphate production reliability and any other plant or company area of need while complying with industry best practices, all regulatory requirements and Company policy. ·        Directs the coordination, planning and execution of all plant wide shut downs for maintenance and assigned projects. ·        Leads and ensures the compliance to site safety and environmental programs and departmental procedures consistent with Company policy, goals and objectives, regulatory compliance and industry best practice, i.e. PSM compliance, mechanical integrity, supplier & services integrity and integration. ·        Ensures long term plant infrastructure reliability and integrity efforts and end of life tracking and replacement of major machinery, equipment and processes. ·        Leads the maintenance routine, preventive and predictive program of equipment and site assets. This will involve leading efforts to monitor, and optimize  the maintenance department. ·        Leads and direct all site maintenance department activities to insure maintenance & maintenance engineering technical support is provided to the facility Nitrogen and Phosphate production areas, supplier & services integration in addition to any other plant area or company area of need.    Oversees the scheduling and establishment of short and long term goals, and work activities priorities of departmental personnel to ensure optimum manpower utilization, compliance with project timetables, coordination with other site departments, and compliance with established Company and governmental safety and environmental policies and regulations    Reviews and approves all plant modifications involving major process and equipment      changes to ensure that all recommendations and modifications are technically and      economically sound, complies with industry safety and environmental standards and efficiencies.    Establishes, manages and reviews with operational production management the annual maintenance budgets, the impact of the plant energy consumption, production optimization and other yields & other planning and forecasting needs. ·         Provides leadership for training and development of skill sets and competencies of all  maintenance   department personnel and provides adequate tools, equipment, machinery and aids such as technical  software, work techniques for work accomplishment and personnel certifications and qualifications    Position is the site liaison for maintenance activities with Corporate and other site groups to provide technical support and maintenance technical information.    Ensures the existence of an updated, adequate and pertinent technical information system and reference library of plant equipment, machinery, vessels and other plant  items.    Directs, interfaces, and resolves conflicts with project contractors and vendors for effective      and efficient completion of engineering & maintenance site work activities.      Stays abreast of new and innovative technologies, modern fabrication and assembly      techniques for potential application and incorporation into plant process systems.    Directs and reviews equipment and machinery design and initiates studies to  investigate modifications for improved yields, capacity, energy, efficiency, equipment performance life, operating, maintenance procedures and environmental standards.    Manages the performance and execution of site turnarounds, debottlenecking projects and assigned capital projects. Qualifications: ·        BS ChE, ME, CE degree from accredited university or related operations experience. ·        Possess detailed knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers. ·         At least 10-15 years experience in the chemical, petro-chemical or related continuous process operations.  Knowledge of the Nitrogen and Phosphate chemical processes is desirable. ·        Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. ·        Demonstrated exceptional leadership and managerial skills. ·        Effective interpersonal skills in oral and written communication skills. ·        Team player with experience in an ODR environment highly desirable. ·        Willingness to work extended hours, particularly during scheduled outages ·        Willingness to participate on corporate teams and assist other locations some travel required ·        Willingness to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
