Ensure that Holiday Retirement and its related business entities financial accounting reports are accurate, relevant and available in a timely manner.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :/h3:
: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is required.
: Minimum four years work experience in financial accounting showing progressively higher levels of responsibility is required.
: CPA designation or relevant work experience.
: Possess a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
: Ability to analyze financial reports, identify areas of concern and make recommendations to Accounting Manager.
: Ability to independently develop and complete projects.
: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet departmental deadlines.
: Experience leading in a team environment.
: Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
: Proficiency in computer use and relevant software applications.
: Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
: Must demonstrate the ability to support, practice and deliver the Holiday Touch 100 of the time.
: Must demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :/h3:
: Responsible for financial accounting records from general ledger through financial statements in assigned specialty area.
: Establish and maintain general ledger format for assigned specialty area.
: Assist Managers in the month end close process.
: Assist with quarterly and annual financial audits.
: Assist with documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
: Maintain all required special project schedules in specialty area (see attached).
: Lead team of staff accountants.
: Serve as a trainer, mentor and resource person for Staff Accountants.
: Work on special projects, as assigned. OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :/h3:
: Perform all work assigned for the agreed upon monthly wage accepting no additional payment or non:perishable gifts from residents, vendors, facility management or others.
: Meet the assigned work hour requirements of the job. Regular attendance is required.
: Ability to keep all business and operations information confidential.
: Desire and ability to be a team player.
