For Telecommuters! Cofounders Wanted for New-Style Band Booking Agency in Portland, Oregon For Sale
A diversifying music company is seeking cofounders to help establish a new booking paradigm in the music industry, and are developing a niche business that utilizes bands in currently overlooked live outlets for long-neglected music fans.
Cofounders will serve as liaisons between band and business clients, gauge interest, interact as the "key (wo)man" between businesses, venues and bands, set up live show logistics, research and discover new venues and opportunities, coordinate the schedules for bands and businesses, create, distribute and follow-up marketing and press information to taste-maker press/blog/social media outlets, actively contribute to the band screening process (A&R), are appreciated for their work and experience something new daily.
Cofounders co-own and help build a business that they are proud of which allows them the freedom and opportunity to make their own current and future success. Cofounders will work remotely and will receive equity stake in company (i.e. split company revenue.)
Required skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel; strong attention to detail; self-sufficient, determined work ethic; ability to clearly communicate opportunities and prioritize resposibilities; impart enthusiasm and information via phone and e-mail; draft professional e-mails, press releases, blog, social media content and other written content; accurately manage the multi-tier schedules; diligent and accurate follow-through on tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred skills:
Knowledge of HTML, SEO, social media marketing; graphic design and photo editing skills using Photoshop or Illustrator and experience working directly with bands/musicians. Applicants MUST have a reliable phone, internet access and a computer, and have a passion for business and music.
